Geocaching (In-Person)
Welcome to Sports Day Tuesday!
During the Summer of 2021 we will be hosting both in-person and online events depending on the weather! During sunny days we’ll be hosting outdoor events (in-person) and during rainy days we’ll be hosting online events.
This is an in-person outdoor event!
Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location!
Activity: Geocaching
Note: During geocaching we will be walking to various spots in Uxbridge by following GPS coordinates on the Geocaching app. We will leave Herrema Park shortly after 12pm to begin our search!
Where: Herrema Fields (85 Herrema Blvd, Uxbridge) under the pavilion
Date: Friday, August 20, 2021
Time: 12:00pm-4:30pm
The UYC will be in the pavilion at Herrema Fields almost every weekday from 12:00-4:30pm throughout the summer (weather permitting). If you finish our scheduled activity early and just want to hang out for a bit, you’re free to do that! We’re going to have all sorts of equipment available on-site to keep you entertained. We’ll have until 4:30pm every day to hang out and enjoy some (socially distanced) socializing! If an event gets rained off, we’ll be running an online event instead!
*Geocaching will require us to walk to different locations to find the hidden caches*
