Coding & Circuits (In-Person)
Welcome to Coding & Circuits!
During the Summer of 2021 we will be hosting both in-person and online events depending on the weather! During sunny days we’ll be hosting outdoor events (in-person) and during rainy days we’ll be hosting online events.
This is an in-person outdoor event!
Are you interested in coding your own games or learning how to create custom circuits with breadboards, LEDs, motors, and more? It’s actually much easier than you might think! During our Coding & Circuits workshop, we’ll be walking you through beginner-friendly coding tutorials at Herrema Fields. Each tutorial will explain the project in simple terms and provide step-by-step instructions on how to finish the project. We’re going to start with a few simple block coding tutorials on our Raspberry Pi systems, but eventually we’ll be creating real world projects with breadboards, wiring, LEDs, motors, and more!
Note: We only have 5 coding kits available per household. Space will be extremely limited, so sign up soon!
Activity: Introduction to Block Coding in Scratch
Where: Herrema Fields (85 Herrema Blvd, Uxbridge) under the pavilion
Date: Thursday, July 22, 2021
Time: 12:00pm-4:30pm
The UYC will be in the pavilion at Herrema Fields almost every weekday from 12:00-4:30pm throughout the summer (weather permitting). If you finish our scheduled activity early and just want to hang out for a bit, you’re free to do that! We’re going to have all sorts of equipment available on-site to keep you entertained. We’ll have until 4:30pm every day to hang out and enjoy some (socially distanced) socializing! If an event gets rained off, we’ll be running an online event instead!
If you’re interested in joining us for this event, just head over to our Summer 2021 page to fill out a registration form!
